Timber Floor Tiles

We offer two styles of timber decking, Yellow Balau and Merbau. Both of these styles are designed in the Z shape style, with a piece of timber running diagonally along the back of the tile, giving it extra strength and support under foot to minimise bouncing on the tile.

Tiles are sold in packs of 4 and each pack contains 3 stainless steel joiners which slot into the corners of each the tiles being connecting tiles giving them a very strong connection to avoid them coming apart.

Following is some information on the 2 types of timber we offer:

Yellow Balau/Bangkirai
Bangkirai will not bleed like Merbau does. It is a South East Asian hardwood. Great outdoor resilience, hard wearing and has a predicted life span of 20-30 years plus. Resistant to decay, adverse weather and insect attack. Tan in colour, much lighter then Merbau Assembled with stainless steel screw to prevent rusting.

Merbau
A naturally oily wood with high tannin content. This extremely durable hardwood is resistant to termites and decay. It has a rich, dark brown colour with flecks of yellow often noticeable. It is susceptible to tannin bleed, appearing as a red-brown stain. Our tiles are pre-oiled to help reduce bleeding. Stains can be removed with special cleaning products.
